Portico Reeves is the secret identity of the greatest superhero you’ve never heard of and that superhero is Stuntboy, a regular Black kid from Skylight Gardens. What everyone else sees as just an apartment building, Portico sees as a castle and a proving ground, full of stairwells, elevators, and neighbors that turn everyday life into real adventure.

Zola is Portico’s best friend and she wickedly rocks the coolest glasses you’ve ever seen. She’s more than a best friend though, she’s the only other person who knows Portico’s secret and knows that he is Stuntboy.

Herbert Singletary is the bully at school who seems to enjoy being cruel just a little too much. Because of that, Portico and Zola have given him a name that fits, Herbert Singletary the Worst, and a lot of Stuntboy’s work is about making sure Zola doesn’t have to deal with the worst of him on her own.
